Bagpipes within paintings depicted on postage stamps can be very hard to spot, unless one happens to familiar with the artist's work. A friend in Alaska found this one. Painter Jan Steen has bagpipes in other works as well. The pipe is hard to identify, but is most probably of the well-known Dutch/Flemish sort. |
