Another bagpipe in an oil painting. Here the painter is clearly in a bit of trouble. He manages to avoid having to detail the instrument by hiding much of it behind the piper, but still has to deal with the right arm. It looks like the piper is either about to rip the chanter out by the roots, or maybe just snap it in half. Must be reed trouble... |
